A rather transatlantic cryptic

· By n0hk · Published 2023-01-05T23:58:12.153Z

In kiwiland we have a bit of a melting pot of cultural influences, which means some crossword clues have unexpected difficulty spikes or dips than what the setter would've intended. This gets reinforced through watching people solving crosswords on stream, they often get stumped due to the setter using unfamiliar regional charades. In order to try help level the playing field, I've tried to include some elements that'd work better for solvers from either side of the Atlantic.
I'd like to thank my muse for the inspiration to write things better; MP & friends for taking the time to both test this grid for me and foster a brilliant community of crossword enjoyers; and most importantly you for showing interest in attempting to solve this.
Hopefully I've made something that's worth your while <3
