  1D I'm not convinced that FOLIO is a valid synonym for "literary work".

  2D Have you confused REPEL and "rappel" in the double definition?

    Thanks taking the time to comment! Chamber's gave me "body of written work" which I may have stretched too far. When I think folio, I think Shakespeare's First, for example. Perhaps you see where I was coming from. 2D is a homophone clue, so I don't understand your question. I'm not THAT ignorant!
