- When you don't get a meta you're like "huh?" When you DO get a meta you're like "aha!" And if the crossword is particularly impressive you're like "wow!"(Also, love the subtle maìeta hint in the title, though it probably was the inspiration for the mechanism)
- Without the title, it's pretty much impossible!
- I thought TETEATETE was meant to be a hint, look for some kind of repetition in the answers, but the title is definitely a much clearer clue.

- C64 3s · 2022-05-08T17:20:13.705ZMercifully, my Google keyboard popped up some suggested words as I was entering my answer and I realized that I missed one letter.
- Explanation: This is only possible with the title. Eight entries are in the letter pattern MOM (i.e., three-letter palindromes): SMS, DAD, ERE, BIB, YAY, ONO, TNT, PEP - sorted there in the order their first letters appear. The middle letters in each spell out MARIANNE, my mother's name - since she's not called SDEBYOTP last time I checked!
- I said 2D before figuring it out, but see now that is is the middle letters of all the answers of the form XYX
