Fun puzzle, thanks! My sister's swimming teacher was Neil Armstrong's wife. I have a picture of Neil, his wife, my mom, and my 2-year-old self at the swimming pool where the lessons were given. My sister's in a group of girls in a circle in the pool - sadly we can't tell which one she is. Neil was in the Air Force and was stationed at Edwards Air Force Base, about 20 miles north of where we lived. It was just a year or 2 later that he got pulled in by NASA to be the first guy on the moon.
