Constructor's Note
Experimenting with an unusual grid. I think it came out on the harder side, so I encourage the use of internal hints and search engines. Further feedback, including suggestions for clue changes, very much appreciated! Photo by Josiah Gardner on Unsplash.

A good challenge. I didn't use any hints or searches, but I was wondering how the hints work. Do you just click on the blacked-out words? (I didn't want to try it because I didn't want any hints!)

Thanks for solving! Yup, that's "spoiler text" — in Markdown, to write it you put || on either side, and to read it, you just click on the blacked-out part.

Nice. Took me a bit to remember my Spanish for VIERNES. Doh!

Indeed… as we reviewed in the last puzzle, VOCAB can be a "concern for new language learners"…
