Very nice... 5d held me up, but it was so satisfying to get

I really liked the three thematic spanners, agree with merlin that 5D was the toughie (was looking for [-t, -y]), and I think 6D, 16A, and my favorite, 14A are all wonderful. A minor nit with 14D (that I bring up only because a test solver mentioned something similar in my latest) is that "carbon-free" suggests deleting /every/; maybe "Pine reserve that's losing some carbon" might work as an alternative?

Good point, in the end I decided to change 14D to a totally different clue (mustache - must = ACHE).

Obviously not my time. (I prefer to solve on paper). This was a lovely themed cryptic, excellently constructed and very enjoyable to solve. I got hung up on 5D and failed to get that. Kudos and thank you.
