One of the white squares is to be filled with a character not usually seen in crosswords. Since Crosshare doesn't allow this character to be in a puzzle, use a rebus with the name of the punctuation mark (ex: COMMA).
Thanks for taking the time to solve! :)

Yeah, one of my issues with these is that with a rebus with a lot of letters (16) it might be hard to tell, for example, if you mistyped it. Ideally I could just say "type in the character" but it's not supported. If you have any ideas for how to circumvent this I'm happy to hear them!
I'm enjoying this series, but ran into the same problem as frosty. Maybe have the solver enter the first letter or letters of the character? I think most people would be able to get "EXC" or something like that. Definitely a fun puzzle though!
I see the source code here: https://github.com/crosshare-org/crosshare; maybe some enterprising developer can add a special key, like the Escape=Rebus key, to enter a special character into a cell?
There are a variety of reasons why Crosshare doesn't support arbitrary characters in the grid, though we have added support for some (i.e. &). If anybody is interested in discussing this definitely hop on discord and post a message about it.
I tried bang, exclamation, exclamationpoint, and shriek. At that point I gave up. Of course the letters were so small I couldn't even read the reveal.
Only now do I realize you meant the smallest physical size of currency. I was thiking "mill," but that didn't fit.
Despite my difficulties with this puzzle, I'm enjoying your concept.
