Why Don't July Around and Solve This?

· By JeffsPuzzles · Published 2022-06-30T13:37:05.119Z

Constructor's Note
I'm posting this early because I'm leaving tomorrow for five days hiking in Wales followed by three days exploring the Isle of Man. See you in a couple of weeks! In the mean time, solve the puzzle and find out why July 4 was important to some of our founding fathers - just not in the way you think.

Fun theme! Heads up: 11D has a typo ("politicans"). Have fun on your trip!

Thanks! And thanks for pointing out the typo, which I just corrected, and for the travel wishes.

Nice grid! I'm all for making 27A a 4th of July staple as well, but that just might be me... ;) Pleasant journeys!
