Puzzle's Plea

· By Mateo Cruzas · Published 2022-02-02T21:55:59.530Z

Meta Prompt
Meta with a request from the puzzle: will you honor it's wishes?
Had this idea after publishing a few large puzzles and not making the front page of Crosshare: thereby, no one ever saw or solved them.
Probably an easy meta since I don't understand metas very well.
Wish that there was another way to.view puzzles besides going back in the list. It only goes back nine pages. Only other way I've found is by clicking individual profiles to see their puzzles.
Maybe a way to sort by 15x15 etc. If there already is a way let me know!
Enjoy the puzzle
Thanks for solving

Hi Mateo - nice puzzle. You didn't correctly use the meta functionality - you can turn it on by going to "More" > "Edit" and adding one or more solutions to the meta puzzle. I do see the plea though 😂.
There's no guarantee about puzzles making the front page, alas! A lot of folks share their puzzles via their own channels, etc. You also should probably create a constructor blog - go to account and create it there. Right now there's no way for somebody who likes one of your puzzles to find more, or to follow you for more. That is probably one of the main ways for puzzles to get discovered.
There is also a new tagging feature that I see you've found. You can use that to sort for only full sized grids like you're requesting. Try going to to the tag page for full sized puzzles.
As for featuring, I can't make any promises! A lot of folks have asked for their puzzles to be featured, but I try to do it as objectively as I can. I look for puzzles that aren't too difficult, that follow "the rules" of crosswords, and that are approachable to a general audience. I think this puzzle meets the criteria, though tbh I'm a bit hesitant to encourage people to be lobbying on behalf of their grids!

I hear you, my comments on the puzzle were kind of a joke as I wrote it. Upon rereading it seems a little more pleading than I meant it to sound but it was the puzzle's plea, after all! I
I actually thought that featured puzzles were a function of the algorithm after people solved it and that I was just posting at the wrong times. I know I tend to make clues a bit too hard and I appreciate that input.
I am enjoying the site a lot, I thought I used the meta function right, even though I'm not sure what I did was a meta technically. I will review my work and hopefully learn these metas soon, I always enjoy solving the meta puzzles but then cannot figure out the meta answer.
Thanks for this awesome reaource, it's helped a lot in keeping me engaged in the puzzle community!

Someday I would like to make the featuring process a bit more automated - right now it's a ton of work for me to keep up with all the great new puzzles folks are posting 😂
