I’m glad. I’ve enjoyed constructing these. Keep up the good work! Learning to solve cryptics takes time. Well worth it though.

Nice to see a cryptic! Can you explain ROLL-TOP and ROTUNDA?
      • Leonard Williams constructor · 2021-02-04T14:53:11.504Z
Thanks. I’ll try to explain a bit. For the first, think dinner roll. For the second, the parenthetical alludes to confusion related to seat of government and the different spellings for the building and the city. Does that help?

Ah is the definition, “butter, say, on a”?
          • Jeremy Weissmann 🤓17:29 · 2021-02-05T02:03:38.605Z
Are you saying the top of a roll is ‘butter’?
As for ROTUNDA, you’re referring to the Capitol building in DC? Is there wordplay that I’m missing?
            Thanks!

It might not be a perfect clue, but the allusion is to putting butter on top of a roll. Because the wordplay is a stretch there is ? at the end of the clue.
A rotunda is in a Capitol building in a capital city. A capital (great) site to see in a Capitol building is the rotunda.

No worries! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything! Though far as I'm aware, there are rotundas in non-Capitol buildings, and there are Capitol buildings without rotundas! (Rotundae?)

Really liked the double duty of "uncertain" for HEISENBERG.

I was pleased with that one, too.

Hey, this was good! Now I will have to go back and review some of the clues. I got the answer, just wasn't the clues in some cases. --Renee

Thanks. When I solve, I sometimes get an answer and then go back to see how the clue functioned.
