Thank you! For 7A, I was aiming for "pompously speaks" as "ORATES" and then dropping the head and the end. For 1D, it was supposed to be "O" (the first letter of "of") then "RAMA" (a Hindu god); then that all goes after "PAN" (a wild Greek god).
