CrossWordle 23 (meta)

Ha, no, you're fine. I pick the Wordle answer first via random word generator (just google "random word generator"), otherwise it would take me longer to pick a word than to make the grid lol. I do rerun the generator if the word has too many repeat letters ("geese," for example), but I try to just stick with it. Then I pick 1A, then I use autofill to fill in the rest. No one has yet called me out on the way I pick 1A, although I think if you take another look at last week's (CrossWordle 22), it'll be very obvious. If I started with a blank grid I would never get it done. The only requirement I (try to) stick to after that is that all the acrosses need to be one-word, to be consistent with actual Wordle. (I sometimes fudge it and let them be proper nouns though, which wouldn't count in the real game.) And of course the answer has to be uniquely determined by the yellow and green squares, which I just kind of figure out as I go.

Some of the earlier ones I did pick the answer after filling in the grid, but I like the random word generator way better. Removing as much active decision making from the procedure as possible is the only way I can make even one a week!
