This puzzle was doing just fine but then Black took her move and .... this is the result.

ADDENDUM: I suppose I must point out, if you do not know this game.... well, you just won't get it. I've had only three incorrect submittals, which give the impression they just might not be familiar with the game. But if you figured out the gyst of the meta you may be able to google this game. It is not obscure.

- woozy costruttore · 12 mesi faUtterly different games! Go is a game where you place tokens (that never change color) in an attempt to squeeze out the other. Othello (or Reversi) is where you place chips in a way as to flip the pieces between endpoints to your color. Go fairly organic and the your territory looks eventually like blobs. Othello each much is to find a straight line work with that.

- woozy costruttore · 12 mesi faReversi and Othello were always both acceptable answers. Reversi's kind of interesting. Reversi was invented in 1883 and was popular for a while and then disappeared. The inventor of Othello in 1975 may or may not have been aware of Reversi but essentially it's the same game. The distinctive green board (it'd have been great if I could have made the blank spaces green!) and the starting position of chips on the board are unique to Othello. But what I find interesting is now you will see many electronic and online versions calling themselves "Reversi" probably because they are avoiding copyright (I guess)
- woozy costruttore · 12 mesi faOne person submitted UpWords. That deserves an honorable mention but I can't accept it. UpWords is a game similar to Scrabble but you are allowed to place tiles on top of tiles to change the letters in words. In some cases placing a B on a W did make a legit word but in more cases they did not. But ultimately the premise of the meta is Black just made a move an in a move only the tiles in a word are changed. You wouldn't play diagonally through a grid of words.

The "Pointed weapon" was SWORD and the "tired of graham cracker chocolate, etc" was SBORD which, s'bord, was my play on S'Mores.What did you google to lead you to GO? A lot of people seemed to have tried GO and ... I'm intrigued but don't understand.
