  I like the grid design, but I definitely wanted more crossers and fewer unches :P

  I love the deceptive simplicity of 1A and the tone of 14A, I also dug 2D, 3D (needs an apostrophe though) and 7D. I would maybe change the def for 3D, though, since you use the sound of city in the answer of 4D. I like the idea of 9A, but I know some people dislike non-consecutive deletions like this (I feel like as long as they're in order and not ambiguous, it's fine).

    Thankyou - all very valid comments. 9A I feel if the letters are in order in the word it's ok but can see why some would not like it. Thanks for catching my missing apostrophe in 3D :)

  Apart from my usual niggles I thought this was very nice. Esp. 1A and 2D. That's not my preferred spelling of German Shepherd though...
