Very nice! Almost managed to get it. Can you explain how the clue for AIR works? and OUTWITTED? I think the rest of them I understand (even though I didn't get CARPENTER until I revealed)

I think those two and EDIT I ended up getting from crossers and a guess. CARPENTER I got from crossers and figured out the wordplay once it was written out

OUTWITTED is "Baffled by" for the definition, then - "OUT WITH TED" for "call to oust Edward", and then drop an H for "after losing Henry". I think; TED isn't a terribly common nickname for ED, at least in the US, but it's not unheard of.
Very nice tight cluing! A lot of the clues sent me completely the wrong way, then made me laugh once I got the trick. The definition for AIR and the "fighter jet" misdirect in BLACKEYE were especially good. Well done!
