Constructor's Note
A submission for the January 2022 Midi Contest with the theme "2". This is my first-ever crossword, so feedback and constructive criticism are more than welcome in the comments!

    Impressive debut puzzle! Only complaint is I really needed another cup of coffee before solving something this challenging but that's fully on me.

      Thank you! I do think it ended up a little more difficult than I really wanted, but I had fun coming up with the theme answers.

      Very cool! I pretty much worked it out but had a typo in AMTRAK - oops! 2LSHED was my favorite of the themers I think

        I didn't want to do too many layers of misdirection with the theme answers' clues, so most of them are pretty straightforward, but I liked 2LSHED too! I really wanted to do "Source of magnesium and calcium?" for GROUP2 as a nutrition misdirect, but realized that wouldn't be "allowed" with SRC also in the grid.
