A nice first cryptic! I enjoyed 1a and 5a in particular!
For 2d, just be careful about number - your definition ('mobile devices') is plural, but your answer (LAPTOP) is singular.
I also see how 6a works, but I'm not entirely sure it's fair. I think there needs to be some way for the reader to know which parts of 'mustard' to cut and reverse. Perhaps following the recipe style: 'Starter of scallops with flipped mustard, reduced pear and tamarind - finish with a citrus fruit'. Not perfect, but gives some indication of where the removal should happen, if that makes sense.

Wow! I appreciate the thoughtful feedback! Updating 2d- the "devices" is a carryover from an earlier version of the puzzle when the answer was plural!
6a is the rockiest, I agree. I struggled to find any precedent online for double-end-letter-removal indicators, hence "cut twice". I like your clue quite a bit, though! Really reads like a recipe. Brevity in the surface is a fun challenge on the setter-side, but I think my obsession with a short surface can hurt the clue comprehension for players. Think I'll leave it for posterity and take your suggestion forward to the next puzzle!
