In a word ladder, each step down the ladder one letter changes forming a new word. In this word ladder, all the clues are DOWN clues, and they ignore repeating letters (for example the clue “ocean (3) SEA” might be entered as “SSSEEEEA” or “SSEEEAAA”). The answers are given with spoiler tags in case you need them. Guessing may be required as you move the letters around and see what works.
Interesting idea, but I think there are too many possible legitimate solutions (even beyond the permissible alternates) for it to work well in software. Definitely look forward to further innovations!
Still failed to solve it downs only! I’m adding 1101, MCI (defunct telecommunications company) to my growing list of number clues. Ya’ll have been warned. That was a fun solve. Thanks Noah.
