This puzzle marks my first time constructing a 15x15 grid. I started with ESCARGOT, FRENCHONIONSOUP, and FOIEGRAS, then started filling in around them. Due to my inexperience in creating grids, I used more black squares than is usually preferred. Now I've realized it's better to have themed answers of at least nine (9) letters not (8), as I used for two of my themed answers. This led to the rather clunky shape of the grid. I like clues with a twist, but after watching one solver work it, I edited a few clues to add more hints. Please leave a comment with your feedback. I'd especially love suggestions for a different title for this puzzle!
