Explanation: Seven symmetrically placed across answers (WARS AURAL LEER KEEPERS IAMB NUDGE and GOSH) could have their first letter replaced by a J to create new words. These first letters spell WALKING. Hopefully the leap to JAYWALKING isn't too big and makes sense to you.

I guessed the meta answer from the prompt and the photo (and the theme of this month's contest), but have NO idea how I was supposed to get it. I believe there was no J in the grid or in the clues. Further guidance appreciated!
