Dugar, first of all, thank you for solving my puzzles. There's definitely more political content in them than there used to be, but after almost 67 years on this planet, I can't ever remember feeling so pessimistic about our future. Having a 2-year old granddaughter, I'm particularly inclined to air my concerns whenever and wherever I can. I hope you will keep solving my puzzles, but if the continuing presence of political content bothers you, there's always the option of just not doing them.
This was THE BEST CROSSWORD EVER! You had me from the clever punny title. I didn't get all the music clues or some of the US references (I got and loved the political ones, though), but the clever construction meant they were workable-outable. Accessible, witty, lovely.
But it was great because you'd so well designed the crossword with overlapping across and down clues, so it didn't matter if there was a US reference I didn't know. Also, I put British references in my crosswords all the time which probably go over most people's heads!

Struggled a little bit since I'm not that familiar with many of the US-centered clues but in the end I did manage to solve it! Loved 37A and needed some assistance from some American friends on 16A, 26A and other abbreviations or names I didn't recognize, but still, loved it!
