There's definitely more political content in them than there used to be, but after almost 67 years on this planet, I can't ever remember feeling so pessimistic about our future. Having a 2-year old granddaughter, I'm particularly inclined to air my concerns whenever and wherever I can. I hope you will keep solving my puzzles, but if the continuing presence of political content bothers you, there's always the option of just not doing them.

I didn't get all the music clues or some of the US references (I got and loved the political ones, though), but the clever construction meant they were workable-outable. Accessible, witty, lovely.

Also, I put British references in my crosswords all the time which probably go over most people's heads!

Loved 37A and needed some assistance from some American friends on 16A, 26A and other abbreviations or names I didn't recognize, but still, loved it!
