I attempted to make this one more in line with a "Monday or Tuesday" in difficulty, per a suggestion from a friend who is just getting started in crossword solving and wants to feel like a champion. There are more 3-letter words than I would normally allow, but I think it is fairly well-balanced, considering. The theme, per request, is "Western Swing" which is a genre that she loves. And the fill has a fair amount of medical terms to satisfy her nurse's sensibilities. Enjoy! And as always, feel free to leave feedback!

You have so much intention in this grid. It was a joy to solve. Anyone you send this to will love solving it. Dope.

Thank you so much for the feedback! It delights me to know that my puzzles are entertaining. And my friend enjyed it as well! Thank goodness...

Thanks, Mike. And thank you for featuring it on the front page! That was a surprise and an honor.

This was a really fun puzzle - never would have thought I'd have seen a Bob Wills-themed puzzle. Definitely a unique theme and it was executed really well, with multiple different layers of theme and some great grid spanners. It played more like a Tuesday to me.

Aw hey, thanks Aaron! And thank you for all of your feedback on Reddit with my other puzzles. I am happy to know that you enjoyed the theme(s) and were pleasantly surprised. I am guessing you are familiar with him? (ps...spoiler alert?! haha). And yes, i managed to get the spanners in without too much trouble with crosses. Phew. They are still taking me 6+ hrs to create, but i suppose that is to be expected so early in my creating career. I also agree that it is a Tuesday level difficulty. :)

Oh right, forgot to ask, 42 down should be "early," yes?

Hello Gray! Thanks for the catch! I edited it. :)

Nice one. Definitely not topics in my wheelhouse either but you include enough fill on the crosses that it worked out fine. 6 Down is clever and took me more time to get than I care to admit ;P

Oh good to hear that the fill was broad enough to make up for the lack of the more niche theme. Thanks for the note of cleverness. I giggled writing it, myself. I have since used it in another puzzle, which I have not shared here because I submitted it to The NYT. I love that you have enjoyed my grids, and I will be completing a few more soon.
