This was another one of those meta ideas that sat in my "meta ideas" list for ages. The seed for this one came from staring at an ad on the back of a bus that I was following as I drove home after a day of teaching. After a while I noticed something and thought "there's a meta there!" And there was! The answer to the meta is two 4-letter words. Check out "The MOAT Mini Pack of Marching Bands" here: https://www.ephesusscroll.com/about/interest4.html. US$5 gets you 7 Marching Bands which, hard enough on their own, now contain metas too. And once again there's a mega-meta!

Thanks for the fun solve and accessible meta! (In case you are open to inspiration for future puzzles as we Northern Hemisphere residents head into summer, I've been tickled by the variety of names for flip-flops in supposedly English-speaking countries: thongs, pluggers, jandals, slops, plakkies, chappals, Hawaiis…)

Fun one. Just my speed. Thanks for the puzzle, Ben!
Hah. I have had this metanism, or something very similar to it, stored in my brain for if/when I ever get around to making a meta. How DARE you break into my brain and steal it!
Nice puzzle and the title was SURE TRUE! I replaced the wrong letter at first and got FSIP FLOP but then had this SLICK CLICK and knew it was me not you. You have certainly been producing some SMART METAS
I'm aware that American and British spellings differ, but didn't know that the Australian version of "flavored"/"flavoured" was "flavoued" (see 23-Down). Learn something new every day!
