    I think 25D should be "Appeals in earnest" since -eth is third-person singular; similarly 34D should be "Don't meet expectations" instead of "doesn't". Also amis/amie is a bit close to a dupe; maybe Author of "Time's Arrow" would be a better clue for 45D?

      Fun, thank you! I was annoyed with the lack of connectivity until I figured out the theme. Agree with @AuLeaf on 34D agreement and the AMIS/AMIE dupe. (No opinion on 24D but I bet they're right!)
