Mini Sounds Like 2

Constructor's Note SOUNDS LIKE are one type of pun clue you get in crosswords and arguably the easiest kind, because it actually TELLS you it's a pun - (a) there's a word or phrase that means SOUNDS LIKE (e.g SOUNDS LIKE, WE HEAR, TO THE LISTENER)or WHEN PRONOUNCED OUT LOUD (e.g. ANNOUNCED, SAID, RUMOURED, ON THE RADIO, IN A PODCAST, OVER THE TANNOY) (b) There's a definition of the word the answer sounds like (c) There's a definition of the answer. But they're not necessarily in that order. So, for example, "One fruit, but it sounds like two" (4) = PEAR (=one fruit), which sounds like PAIR (= two). Another example, "District that's got more of a breeze on the radio (4)" = AREA (district) which is pronounced AIRIER (= with more of a breeze)
