The answer to the meta is a thing that has rotational symmetry
This was a fun puzzle to envisage and then try to construct. That said, the first version I came up with was waaaaay too hard. After implementing the suggestions from a couple of test solvers, this edited version should, at the very least, be doable without nudges. There might still be a challenge or two in completing the grid, so good luck (or good googling!) The answer to the meta is a thing that has rotational symmetry. Check out "The MOAT Mini Pack of Marching Bands" here: https://www.ephesusscroll.com/about/interest4.html. US$5 gets you 7 Marching Bands which, hard enough on their own, now contain metas too. And once again there's a mega-meta!

Got it only with the nudges (and needed all of them). I tried so many ways of interpreting the title and the instructions in the clues but never hit on the right one! Very clever puzzle but I was just not on the right wavelength.

I also needed the nudges for this one. I kept rotating individual letters around their x or y axes, but got nowhere. Clever concept, thanks for the puzzle!
