      1A I can't see how to get WS from "these women".
      4A Are you alluding to a delta wing aircraft? If so I think you're pushing it somewhat.

        For 4A it's referring to the airline. Though I'm stuck for the same reasons on 1D and 1A (and guessed based on definition and checked letters).

          Thanks! Fliers is indeed a playful definition for the airline. In 1D, the W comes from abbreviating “with”, the rest is a hidden word. 1A is the most dubious – woman (or wife) can be abbreviated to W, and pluralisation adds an S. Definitely stretching the rules there! 😅
