    For those who don't know much about chess: The letters K-N-I-G-H-T appear in a sequence of squares that are a knight's move apart, the fact that the 7D and 14D clues refer to chess is not a coincidence. Bonus: this grid is 8x8 just like a standard chessboard, and the circled K is in a square where a knight would be in the starting position.

      Also, the title refers to the knight's ability to jump over other pieces on the board.

                Love the effort of adding theme throughout! The sly cryptic clues were nice too, and MANN is very clever. Might I offer my own puzzle as a chaser?
