Dig for a Dinosaur!

This was my first attempt at compiling a cryptic crossword. The grid ain't great but I think some the clues have merit and were worth the effort. The theme is nothing sophisticated nor all-encompassing but, with the grid's inevitable weaknesses, it may help out a little here and there. I definitely like the concept of a laying down a big dinosaur at the bottom of the pit! (You will find a few others along the way too!) I am looking forward to developing my skills, learning a lot and getting a bit more adventurous with both the words and their cryptic clues. Hopefully you have some fun, find some humour and don't get too frustrated! Friendly feedback and constructive criticism are warmly welcomed by this most naive yet enthusiastic puzzler.
