            wow, this was beautiful--didn't suspect anything until i got to 22D since i had NEWYORK and everything worked perfectly. extremely impressive that you got a 7-letter schrodinger to work, especially when all 7 letters are unique! loved the META clues for META and EDIT. the clue for STRAW is great as well. HEROIN/HEROIC and DIYER/DICER are absolutely BEAUTIFUL clues--how did you even come up with these??

                            I saw at the end that both are accepted; what I was trying to say is that the clue for 29D seems to exclude NEWYORK as a valid answer, right?

                              Ahh. The intent was for 7D to refer to NEW YORK and 29D to refer to CHICAGO, and this to give solvers a bit of a heads up to the Schrodinger. See this crossword from the NYT for another example of this type of cluing.
