Them's the breaks!

Constructor's Note
My first jumbo puzzle! This one came out pretty difficult, so I've scheduled it for Sunday! And to any personally familiar with the theme: I'm not sorry
Spoilers for the theme and revealer! This puzzle started with me wanting to use the rebus, my first thought was to start simple and use some numbers. 38a was actually the first one I'd thought of which got me thinking that I should make this Vriska Serket themed! For those who don't know Vriska is an alien who's design is themed around the zodiac symbol Scorpio, an arachnid, which leads to a lot of spider motifs, one example being her tendency to sneak the number 8 into her text wherever possible. The main way this presents itself is 8y su8stituting it for the letter "b" and another is phonetically as in the word "gr8". The revealer alludes only to the second of these with each of the 8 aforementioned rebuses in the puzzle being a phonetic replacement, but for those of you who already know about vriska's typing quirk, this puzzle is actually set up to accept an "8" anywhere it would accept a "b"!
