    Fun cryptic! Loved the &lit. in 14D. Maybe a couple of clues I could nitpick but nothing that ruined the solve.

        Cute CD at 13A. The definition at 5D seems to have to be "went through terrible time" to match the tenses. Also, "by a dad" does not anagram to "a bad day". I'm missing an a.
