Thanks! For the meta, perhaps a better title for the puzzle would be, "Check the ship, mate!" The grid size is important for the meta, as are the B and W references. Each B or W refers to a single letter in the grid. It requires knowledge in a particular domain, so it's unfortunately not universally solvable, but I thought it would still be a fun puzzle for some.
