    This is the first puzzle I've constructed, and it is a birthday gift for my mom, who is responsible for me and my love of crosswords!

      Great puzzle! What an amazing birthday gift - happy birthday to your mom and I hope she enjoys!
      I liked the theme and overall found the whole puzzle really smooth! The only ones that tripped me up a bit were the two that had 'A' tacked on - ADOVE and ANEOCON
