Jake’s Midi Cryptic #2

◆◆ · Por Jake A · Publicado 2024-05-02T14:53:50.444Z

Constructor's Note
This is my second midi cryptic (not counting a prior themed cryptic). I find midis far more challenging to construct in myriad ways. I hope it is logical and accessible, even if a little more challenging, for the solver. I always welcome and appreciate feedback. Also: let me know if you are interested in collaborating with others to construct, edit, test-solve, etc. Thanks and happy solving!

for 10A, it might be more accurate to say "time to switch sides", since it's only the last letter that changes sides (usually I'd think "FODDER switching sides" implies [f->R]ODDE[r->F] )

Nice one, the spanners are really well done! Not sure if “absorbs” works as a hidden indicator in ETHNO since it implies the action of taking rather than just passively holding.

I hear you. I’m going to take a look at that clue. Thanks so much!

I didn't quite get the wordplay of 1A and 6D. 9A and 10A look each could use another crossing word. Fun enough puzzle, thanks!
