Shoot, I was trying to reveal a word and I clicked Reveal Puzzle. I thought it was very hard. I didn't get anything in the top third of the puzzle, across or down.
Some of the clues seemed a bit arch. I did like some that got me to write in incorrect answers at first. 20D was good. 1A is fun but I never would have gotten it. Might need to be more specific about the cat. 10D is impossible to me; don't know an author or character of that name. 9D too open-ended. But I did OK, had fun doing this puzzle.
