Constructor's Note
Some bunk fill in this one, but I plowed through and made silly clues for the obscurities. Any input on clue difficulty would be appreciated,

Guessed PEETE for PEETA, but otherwise seemed straightforward with no need to google. Sunday NYT difficulty maybe.

Challenging, but ultimately totally solvable and enjoyable throughout. thank you

Fun and smooth! Clues were gettable and some were clever (especially 52A) and some made me laugh (57A in particular, which probably says more about me than anything). Other than 22D which is definitely some bad glue, not that bad. I would suggest editing the 41D/41A cross as it's the other most egregious crosswordese; maybe change 41D to SIMIAN? Finally, pet peeve on 59A — it's not an opposite, but a counterpart. Thanks and look forward to more puzzles!
