Agreed that titling puzzles is hard. It's like a clue itself, or at least some will treat it that way regardless of intent. For my puzzles, lately I've been using one of the clues as the title. Benefits include
Theoretically I've already considered whether it will fit the theme, not spoil other answers in the puzzle, etc.
Don't have to think of how to summarize the puzzle, which may be any extent of thematic, in a short title
It's aggressively not an additional clue to solvers. Or I guess if it does do that intentionally, more power to you, that could be cool.
I primarily wanted to settle on a standard that had something more than a date, so my standards may be low, but I've been enjoying using this system.
