          Yes… I belatedly re-read the clue for 1D (which I hadn’t really digested on my initial solve) but still don’t see the GAME OVER in each starred entry. Thank you!

            Each starred entry contains a game, but in reverse, ie "over", cryptically... I really should try and take a non-cryptic approach for my next contest submission, I feel...
