In mathematics, a strange attractor is the shape that can emerge out of a chaotic system over time. It means two points that are quite close together can become widely divergent given enough time. (This is also known as the butterfly effect, but that's enough maths for one day!) Will order emerge out of the chaos of this puzzle in the form of the meta answer (which in this case is a noun)? Only time will tell.

Check out "The MOAT Mini Pack of Marching Bands" here: https://www.ephesusscroll.com/about/interest4.html. US$5 gets you 7 Marching Bands which, hard enough on their own, now contain metas too. And once again there's a mega-meta!

I share Rick's hesitation, if only because of that long scientific prompt, which ended up being mere misdirection (cool as it may be). Had the prompt simply said that we were looking for a noun, the meta would actually have been easier!
But the meta prompt is exactly that: "The answer to the meta is a noun". Are you talking about the blogpost? I usually write a short intro that includes the meta prompt.

Also, there was a band called Iron Butterfly, so it ties into the butterfly effect mentioned in the flavortext.
