Sure, I'll try -
* The clue splits up as "Land mass (definition) = Like + Iowa".
* As a continent, Asia can be defined as a "land mass".
* "Like" is just a synonym for "AS" - e.g. "Like we agreed..." / "As we agreed..."
* The [US state abbreviation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._state_and_territory_abbreviations) for Iowa is "IA".

I got a kick out of this one. tuber explains it above, which is how  I parsed it during the play: “Land mass” is the definition; “like” synonym for AS; and Iowa is synonym for IA (the abbreviation for the state of Iowa).

I posted this before the explainer was up. I guess I should have been more patient 😅

Loved this puzzle. Very ingenious and varied clues. 3 down and 8 across, in particular, brought a big smile to my face

Glad to hear it!  I have a few little goals I set for myself, and one of them is to always use a mix of different clue types where I can.
