  Thanks for an entertaining puzzle. 1D ASS is not common in the UK. 5A Please explain "local newspaper". I like the clever use of "about" as a reversal and container indicator in one word. All in all your puzzles are too difficult for me, but thanks for posting.

    Pub = local and newspaper = i. The inclusion indicators are "includes" and "adopted". About is only used as a reversal indicator.
