1A / 1D: dd. "Stars" and "looking up at night, perhaps"
4A: "Come in"; anag. ("I'm not thinking straight") of "AUREVOIR" -OU ("and I missed you, oh"). I don't usually care for oh --> O and you --> U without a homophind, but I see it often, and felt like I should try it to get out of my comfort zone. Turns out, it was nice!
5A: "a planet, for example"; SPACE - ACE ("Space... not great") + HERE ("and in this space")
2D: "Our home"; HEARTH ("fireplace") removing all H's except the last ("only hot when we depart")
I'm not convinced that "tattered" (an anagrind) is an indicator for a part-word solution.
4A was clever but I'm not sure that "come here" is a strong enough synonym for ARRIVE; I'm also not convinced that "I'm not thinking straight" is a fair anagrind.

nice marquee clue... but i'm not sure i get 2d, i thought it was a play on hearth, but i don't get what "we" is doing there... but im probably just being dumb, thanks for the puzzle

If you are being dumb then I am also! I too wonder about the "we".
The intention was that the "we" referred to "We, the setter and reader, the set of people reading this clue". Looking over it again, I agree it's quite loose. Thanks for commenting!
Thanks for the puzzle! I struggled with the 1a, 1d pair. It was a duh moment. My concern with 4a is if you use "you" and "oh" for the letters (I'm fine with this) how do we know "I" shouldn't be taken out as well? I'd just take that "I" out of the clue. It would still make sense assuming "I'm not thinking straight" works as an anagram indicator. I don't know if it does, but I assumed that's what it was doing. I wasn't clear on 2d's wording but got the idea.
