Thanks for playing! Constructing these puzzles is trickier than non-rebus ones as Crosshare's suggestions do not utilize rebus. I start with a theme / general idea (e.g. CHACHACHA / HAHA for this puzzle) and it usually takes trial and error and messing around with the size of the grid and the locations of the bars to fill the grid. In order to find words / phrases that fit a certain pattern (e.g. starting with CHA for 1A, 5A, and 6A), I use Crosserville's lookup tool (e.g. by entering CHA... it lists 6-letter fills starting with CHA). It takes a lot of fiddling but is enjoyable to construct :)
