Question to more experienced cryptic constructors: In 11A, is it OK to put an exclamation mark at the end of the clue? In an American crossword, I could clue [That takes me back!] TIMETRAVEL, but "!" in a cryptic means something else.

The answer is maybe: In UK-style cryptics (like what you've made here), constructors can play it loosey-goosey with punctuation in service of clue surface, whereas US constructors have historically reserved exclamation points as indicators of &lit clues (although this approach seems to be relaxing). In the end, it's up to you and your own personal style!

I LOVED this puzzle! Really good clues. I really liked 9A and 11A in particular.

Wow, very nice puzzle! I do think maybe 4D should say "tips" since you take the ends of both "diadem" and "tiara"?
