One-clue puns often rely on a word or phrase which is usually used in a metaphorical sense being used literally, in either the clue or the answer. So, for example, "She didn't think outside the box (7)" would be PANDORA and "Piste (3, 1, 8, 5)" would be IT'S A SLIPPERY SLOPE. Tricky! There are some letters that occur very infrequently at the ends of words so that threw me for a while.
