    Really good! I got tricked a few times, eg 1d I thought was actress and 27a I thought must be spy. It took me a while to understand why 12d worked until I realised that plies was the plural of ply. Thanks for the puzzle!

      I had 20D filled in as SCAN for a while... that had me stumped for a bit! Nice puzzle!
