Rank & File Midi 1

◆◆ · Por dilly · Publicado 2024-06-28T09:05:31.996Z

Constructor's Note
New variety puzzle (sorry) that I’m tentatively calling “Rank & File”, though I am open to better name suggestions in the comments. Each row and column has one or more clues whose answers will be entered in order to fill their respective row/column. You won't know how many letters each answer has, and that’s the whole gimmick. Let me know what you think!

I've definitely seen this crossword genre but never known what to call it exactly... Maybe a "crossrow" because you're cluing across the whole row? Rank & File's not a bad name either, though!

"RIATA = LASSO?" is an anagram of "SO'S A LARIAT!" :3

this is very cool! I haven't seen a puzzle like this before and I really enjoyed it. I think INRE: ALADDIN is my favourite row :D

I tried so hard to get this one without help! Only needed to fix one letter 🫠. Can't wait for the next one!
