Fun puzzle, but it made me feel old (as so much does) - I'd only heard of one of the bands (MADNESS). I will now demonstrate some likely golf influence - do you yell FORE before you drive when there are people down the fairway, after you drive if you mishit the ball toward someone, or both? Any way, thanks for sharing - very enjoyable!

Personally, I yell it all the time, because I never know where the ball is going to go 😅. Thanks!

Nice job, but I don't understand FAE for Oberon, Puck, etc. (Video game? Shakespear? Other?)

Thanks! They are fairy folk in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Fae is another word for fair folk.

Clever concept! Definitely on the tougher side, though. I knew KOOKS and MADNESS, but MRBIG and ROXETTE were both new to me. TIL that FAE is both singular and plural

Thanks! I’m a fan of late-week crosswords, so I tend to skew that way when I make them too. It was a bit of a challenge to find bands that fit the theme, that were also accessible to most people. My criterion ended up being, “Can I sing at least one of this band’s songs without looking up the lyrics?”
Problem with that is that I’ve had “To Be With You” by Mr. Big in my head for a week now 😅

I'd always seen 24A as "FEY". Nice to learn more of the language, such as PULE. Never heard of that word.
