  I don't know if 15D is too obscure or not. This name does have many other uses that I didn't know of, while the clue I currently have is what I associate most with the word. However, Wikipedia doesn't even list that site on its disambiguation page for this, so hopefully the across clues are easy enough...

  I didn't run into any issues with 15D as I got it on the crossings; to me, as an American, the term is far more common as the (usually football) team name of any of the "A&M" universities (especially Texas A&M).

  The only nit I had was on 16A, where I think of a DEGREE as a "unit (of measurement)" rather than a "measurement" in itself.

  I had never heard of 15D either but it reminded me of my second-to-last cat, RIP, and also when I lived for a bit in India I enjoyed seeing many 12A's, so that made me happy as well.

  small objection to 25A - it might look like an "H" (in capital form), but it's a long E/A vowel sound, so I think that's a bit linguistically imprecise. overall cool puzzle!

    That's part of the trick :) If you read it out loud as an English speaker you might think it's an [aitch], but read visually and not out loud, it's an eta!
